SANKEN WMS-5 Double M-S technique 5.o surround microphone

The SANKEN WMS-5 design is baded on famous M-S method. It has 5 surround ouput signals. "M" capsule is used for both "C" and front LR. "S" signal is for both front L,R and rear LS, RS. Rear "M" capsule is used for LS and RS. In order to keep precise phase coherence, capsules are set vertically on same axis theoretically. Front "C" has shotgun directivity.

SANKEN COS-22 Dual Omni-Capsule Lavalier Microphone

The new COS-22 is the world’s first dual capsule lavalier microphone. In the tradition of the popular Sanken COS-11s lavalier, the ultra miniature COS-22 measures only 31.6mm(1.25”) in length but boasts a full frequency response up to 20,000 Hz.
The two-channel, dual-omnidirectional COS-22 is designed for a variety of applications, including stereo applications for ambience of nature sound and music recording, redundant lavalier live broadcast usage, e.g. speech for news anchor.
As a special usage, it can be used for “noise cancel” microphone when you reverse phase of ch2 and sum ch1 & ch2 under noisy circumstances.

CO-100K New Quality An omni-directional ultra-wide range condenser microphone with a frequency response from 20Hz right up to 100kHz !

100kHz microphones do exist in the field of acoustic measurement but the Sanken CO-100k is the first such device for use in the professional recording world. Designed in conjunction with the NHK Science and Technical Research Laboratories, this microphone is Sanken's solution for those exceptional engineers who want to record a complete sonic picture from 20Hz to 100kHz.

Sanken has already carried out a number of test recordings with the CO-100k using specialist hardware that can preserve such a wide bandwidth. These tests amply demonstrate the exceptional signal-to-noise ratio and the stunning frequency response of this microphone, and we are confident that it will gain a very warm welcome from those in the fields of classical and acoustic instrument recording, and from specialists in sound effect work.

Within the conventional "audible frequency" band of 20Hz to 20kHz the performance is exemplary, with rich lows and a tasteful mid range -clearly different. But the CO-100k also gives us the opportunity to experience musical sounds far beyond that somewhat arbitrary upper frequency limit.

This is a new step, a new adventure into the realms of musical detail and nuance that we have never been able to reach before.

SPECIFICATIONS
Transducer: DC bias condenser microphone
Directivity:   Omni
Sensitivity: -25dB +- 2dB (56.2mV)/Pa
Frequency Res: 20Hz ~ 100kHz
Output impedance: 150 Ohms
Equivalent Noise: less than 19dB-A (re.20 μ Pa)
Max. Input: more than 125dB SPL(THD 1%)
Powering: 48V +-2V phantom
Consumption current: less than 6.0mA
Weight: 150g

NOTE: energy of more than 20kHz especially near 100kHz decrease unexpectedly and severely, therefore, in order to record music sound, frequency 20kHz to 100kHz, the mic has peak at 20kHz to 70kHz on axis.  It's omni design, but from physics theory, higher frequency has comparatively sharp directivity.

Sanken CUW-180 is designed with stereo X-Y recording in mind.

Each cardioid pattern condenser capsule can be independently adjusted through any angle up to180 degree freely with 15 degree detent.
The feature is unique to this microphone and provides the simplest and most direct method of adjusting X/Y recording angles.
The close coupling of the capsule pair allows perfect phase coherence between X and Y signals.
The microphones feature a very clean frequency response also off-axis, can support 137dB SPL and deliver a high output level. Their membranes are made of titanium and are reliable under the most difficult climatic conditions.

For Surround recording pairs of CUW-180 in dual X/Y mode can also provide a conceptually simple method of recording both Front L/R and Rear L/R (Ls/Rs) signals.

Surround Setting
Each microphone capsule can be rotated freely with 15 degree detent to give full surround configurations using independent angle adjustability of front and rear . CUW-180 Surround system is formatted from two CUW-180. For 5.1 surround, one CS-1 short shot-gun is added as a hard center microphone.

5.1 Surround setting with CS-1
In case of this system, it has 5 fully independent signals from 5 microphones. The system is easy to set on a specially made suspension, and it makes surround shooting at outdoor quite easy. It is held by one microphone stand or boom pole.

CS-1 Very short (180mm) Shot-Gun microphone

The SANKEN CS-1 is an answer to big demand from many engineers in video and film industry. It is easy to be hidden from camera eye because of its small length. Although only 180mm long, the CS-1 has very sharpdirectivity and good clean sound for real professional application.

The CS-1 is ideal for boom operation. Thank to its reasonable price, it is affordable for everybody.

The Sanken CUW-180 is designed for x-y angle adjustable recording origianally.

Both condenser microphones have cardioid polar pattern, and the angle can be adjusted between 0° and 180° freely. It is the very unique feature of this microphone and makes it much easier to adjust angles of X-Y stereo arrays.
For surround recording application, the CUW-100 can be used for front L,R and rear L,R very easily.
When you aim one microphone to front and another to rear, then you can use the two signals front and rear independently. Use this setup for face to face talk show.

HAD-48 Easy Level Upper for Dynamic Microphone using P48

This new product from SANKEN is increases the low signal level from dynamic microphones by switchable 20db or 40db to avoid hiss especially when using long cables. Very low power consumption, small size and high reliability are some other features.

CUB-01 New,Small,Cardioid Boundary Microphone

THE SANKEN CUB-01 produces an extremely rich and full-bodied sound. Although small (32mm diameter, 12mm height, 55g weight) the sound is comparable with much larger microphones. It is designed for use in many situations, from TV and film field shooting to broadcast studio production and conference table recording.
Due to the CUB-01's cardioid directional characteristics, human narration and dialogue are clearly recorded while eliminating unnecessary background noise.

CO-Z The Perfect Omni Directional Condenser Microphone

Sanken has the distinction of creating the CO-Z, a revolutionary microphone with a perfect OMNI polar pattern from 20Hz to 20kHz. Many microphone manufacturers have attempted to make the perfect omni, but because of the physical existence of the microphone itself, it has been a considerable challenge. Now, Sanken's exclusive technology permits the perfect omni microphone -- one which seems to have no physical body -- with a "virtual" diaphragm hovering in space.

SANKEN CS-3e replaces CS-3

The specifications of CS-3 have been improved. Roll-off is now at 70Hz instead of 200Hz to have a more powerful low end. The redisigned electronics result in less loise and a even more transparent sound.

CMS-10 New Generation Stereo/Mono Shotgun

The SANKEN CMS-10 is an excellent choice for creative engineers working in HDTV and HD-Cam for movie production, and has been designed in conjunction with NHK. The CMS-10 is switchable between a very sharp directional mono shotgun response and a specialized stereo shotgun mode that delivers a rich "Environmental Stereo Sound."
The CMS-10 is small and the PPS diaphragm provides optimum durability in locations with high humidity and extreme temperatures.

ICE-ZONE-MICROPHONE

For the olympic games at Nagano SANKEN hasintroduced a completely new dynamic microphone system which is installaed directly into the ice-field to pick up the sound of the blades. Thanks to this new technology you can hear the movements on the ice and have at the same time the playback of the music with no sound degradation. For more information please contact t.buser@RTG.ch
