Stereo Microphone utilizing M-S technology

The Sanken CMS-7s is a portable M-S stereo condenser microphone for indoor and outdoor Broadcast and Film sound recording. The CMS-7 is an extremely popular stereo microphone used all over the world, and itsTitanium diaphragms isrelatively immune to temperature and humidity changes.

The CMS-7s is not 48V driven microphone and has XLR-7PIN output. Therefore it is supplied with a special high voltage PSU & matrix box (CMS-MBB-I, MBB-II) to record stereo signal, with five selectable stereo width angles. It is simple to capture very natural environmental stereo sound information from the CMS-7s in virtually any kind of location and from very loud sound sources. MAX SPL is up to 130dB at 1% THD.

Due to the MS array, the microphone delivers a very good ambient sound without any lack of the very precise center image.
